king!ghost x reader -- hand to hand, man to woman
In the days that followed the incident with Graves, Ghost’s concern for your safety only grew stronger. The memory of Graves’ disrespectful behavior towards you weighed heavily on his mind. One sunny morning, he approached you with a determined look in his eyes, his usual stoic demeanor tinged with a sense of urgency.
“Darling, I believe it's time for you to learn hand-to-hand combat and self-defense,” he began.
You raised an eyebrow, somewhat puzzled by the suggestion. “Hand-to-hand combat? Why would I ever need to learn that when we have countless guards and knights?”
Ghost's expression remained serious as he replied, "Listen, dove, I won't always be here to protect you, and having the guards around can only go so far. Learning self-defense is a crucial skill, one that could prove invaluable in times of danger.”
He grabs your hand, squeezing it gently. “You should feel comfortable in your own home. I just want what’s best for you.”
Your initial reluctance slowly gave way to understanding, and you nodded thoughtfully. “Very well, teach me.”
. . .
Over the next several days, you embarked on a rigorous training regimen with Simon as your instructor. Each morning, before the day's responsibilities took hold, you met in a secluded training area within the palace grounds. Simon taught you the fundamental principles of self-defense, emphasizing agility, smarts, and knowing how to use your body's strength effectively.
You practiced various techniques, from simple strikes and blocks to more advanced moves like escaping holds. Simon was a patient and skilled teacher, always ensuring that you felt comfortable and confident in your abilities.
One day, at the end of one of your training sessions, Simon reached into his belt and retrieved a familiar knife, the same one you had seen the night before he proposed to you in your home kingdom.
He slid the knife into your hand, the cool metal a reassuring weight. “I want you to keep this,” he said softly. “This knife has always been with me, and now I want it to be a symbol of your safety. You should always feel safe, no matter where you are, even if I’m not with you.”
Touched by his gesture, you held the knife carefully, a tangible reminder of Simon’s dedication to your well-being. Tears of gratitude welled up in your eyes as you held the knife close to your heart. You knew that he had always been by your side, watching over you, and this gift was a physical representation of his unwavering commitment to your safety.
“I'll cherish it forever,” you whispered, your voice filled with emotion. You pulled Simon into a tight embrace, feeling the warmth and strength of his presence. “Thank you for always protecting me, Simon.”
Simon's fingers gently stroked your hair as he held you close. His voice was soft but filled with determination as he spoke, “It's something you'll never have to ask me for, dove. Remember that.”
In that moment, as you held the knife and embraced the man who had become your steadfast protector and loving husband, you felt an overwhelming sense of security and gratitude.

Jump Higher, Play Harder: The Journey of a True Competitor
By: Kimberly Macanas | mikkypotato
Sports have a unique way of bringing people together, and volleyball is no exception. Nikko M. Villamiel, a dedicated student at Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) and the captain ball of his volleyball team, has proven his passion and leadership on the court through hard work and perseverance. I’ve had the privilege of watching him in action, having been invited to some of his recent matches. Seeing his leadership on the court and the way he inspires his teammates made me even more curious about his journey as an athlete.
Recently, Nikko and his team have achieved remarkable success in various tournaments. They finished as 1st Runner-Up in the Malitbog Himugusa Invitational Volleyball 2025, secured championship titles in Baybay, Inopacan, Carigara, and the Cantilan, Davao Friendship Game, and placed 3rd Runner-Up in another Baybay tournament. These victories reflect his dedication, teamwork, and passion for the game.

In this interview, Nikko shares how he started playing volleyball, the challenges he faces, and his advice for aspiring athletes. Whether you’re a volleyball fan or simply someone striving for excellence in your own field, his story offers valuable lessons in dedication, teamwork, and resilience.
"What inspired you to start playing this sport?"
“This sport was never something I initially considered, but I started playing because of my grandfather, who was a volleyball player in his time. He shared his experiences with me, explaining how volleyball impacted his life and how he managed to balance academics while playing the sport. His passion for the game inspired me to give it a try, and from that moment, I fell in love with it.”
"What made you choose this sport over others?"
“I chose volleyball because it is a team game that requires communication and discipline. It’s a sport that pushes you to work together, strategize, and build strong connections with your teammates. For me, volleyball is the sport I am truly meant to play.”
"What does your training routine look like?"
“As a volleyball player, my training routine is all about consistency and improvement. We always start with a warm-up to prepare our bodies for high-intensity movements. Strength and conditioning exercises follow to build endurance and agility. After practice or a game, cooling down is essential—whether it’s an ice bath or a sports massage—to help the body recover.”
"How do you handle pressure during a big game or event?"
“Pressure is part of the game, and I’ve learned to embrace it. I stay focused by controlling my breathing, visualizing successful plays, and reminding myself to trust my training. Communication with my teammates also helps—it keeps the energy positive and the team locked in. When you trust yourself and your team, pressure becomes motivation.”
"How do you balance sports with personal life?"
“Time management is key. I make sure to plan my schedule ahead, ensuring I get enough rest and downtime with family and friends. School, training, and social life can be overwhelming, but prioritizing and setting boundaries helps keep everything balanced. Finding the right routine makes all the difference.”
"What advice would you give to young athletes trying to make it?"
"First master the fundamentals of volleyball and before anything else perfect the basic ,a solid foundation will take u far ,be humble always ,show up ,work hard, stay consistent even if u don't feel like it , be coachable listen to feedback to ur seniors and always look for a good side and enjoy the process"
Nikko M. Villamiel’s journey as a volleyball player and team captain at EVSU highlights the importance of passion, discipline, and perseverance in achieving success. His dedication to the sport, commitment to continuous improvement, and ability to balance academics and athletics serve as an inspiration to aspiring athletes. Whether on the court or in life, his story reminds us that hard work, teamwork, and a positive mindset can lead to great accomplishments. As you take on your own challenges, remember to stay focused, keep learning, and enjoy the journey toward your goals.

New year, New Arundhati (??) [lmao not really but hey!! small redesign!!]

Taglist!!
@queengiuliettafirstlady @ike-garden2024 @sh0jun @welp-back-on-my-bs @colourless-hydrangeas @oda-princess @obeymetalesandikemen
Yippee!! And as always please let me know if you want to be added or removed from the list💛!!
More about Aru under the cut!!
To be entirely honest, there isn’t much I’m changing about her apart from her appearance (slightly). I also feel like I could have done a better job talking about things than I did in her previous bio but for the most part, things stay the same. I might just not be great at writing these lmao.
I want to emphasize that Aru is playful, warm, and at times, silly though she can be distant at first. Yes, the transition to the Sengoku Era was rough and Arundhati is fundamentally changed by it ( I believe anyone would be) but while she does become distant / detached at first, she manages to overcome that in time. Her “ruthlessness” and “tunnel vision” (as I put it in this post) all stem from the fact that she was thrown into a hostile world so unlike anything she’s ever known.
I think it’s also worth mentioning that she spent two years with her first mentor/guardian/teacher/boss Mochizuki Chiyome and even though she ended up being a mother-figure to Aru, was not particularly motherly. Chiyome’s training was harsh and it is somewhat of a miracle that Aru could pick up anything at all but it gave her the necessary skills to survive as a ninja in the Sengoku Era.
However, Aru at heart ( and to those who are close to her) is a compassionate person though she struggles to express it initially but give her time and she will find a way to show you she cares by taking the time to learn what it is you like. She’s observant, awkward and if she’s just met you but stick around long enough and you’ll see that she’s actually pretty silly, playful and genuine too.
Now for some Arundhati trivia because it’s important to me:
• She LOVES thrifting
• She has insanely sharp hearing.
• Very fast, agile. Not as strong. She can use a sword pretty well but she really does prefer her poisons.
• Has horrid handwriting. Even Yoshimoto, a man who manages to find beauty in almost everything, is taken aback.
• Her handwriting is so bad that Shingen came close to hiring a member of the Mitsumono specifically to decipher Aru’s reports because they were starting to drive him up a wall.
• The part of her backstory where she’s engaged to a man named Gaël remains the same (you can read more about it here though its not very much as I haven’t written all of it out)
Its worth mentioning that it was an extremely toxic relationship (I simply don’t go in depth in the previous writing of it) that had been falling apart for a long, long time.
• She’s strategic but sometimes said strategy will go out the door if she’s hit with an intense emotion. It’s rare but it happens and when it does, she has to rely solely on whatever skills she has at her disposal to get out of the mess she threw herself into.
(Im bolding the next one bc its so so important (= funny) to me)
• She can keep up with Sasuke’s STEM jokes. Has used physics related pick up lines on him before.
ie. “Sasuke, are you a quasar? …because you’re the hottest thing in the known universe.”
And that’s when he knew she was the one.
They really match each other’s freak in every sense.
Though there are moments where he’ll fluster her and she’ll shut down + vice versa.
• She has tattoos!!
—> A sun design on her left shoulder. Her name written in Tamil in her grandmother’s handwriting on the back of her hand. An intricate flower and another sun pattern on the right side of her hip going down her thigh (a pretty large tattoo at that.)
• She’s allergic to peaches. (but she has eaten some to prove a point to Kenshin. she regretted it afterwards).
[I’ll add more later!!]

Mia Queen-Lance: Born to Oliver Queen and Laurel Lance, Mia inherits her father’s archery skills and her mother’s fierce determination and sonic cry ability (Black Canary’s signature power). She’s a blend of precision and raw power, trained from a young age in both combat and emotional resilience due to her parents’ legacies and their tumultuous lives, naming herself Black Arrow.
Joaquin Torres: As Falcon, Joaquin brings his own mix of aerial agility, military discipline, and the high-tech Falcon’s Cry collar after losing his natural sonic cry. His journey of adapting to trauma mirrors Mia’s own experiences with her family’s complex past.
How They Met:
Joaquin and Mia cross paths during a joint mission where the Traumatic Birds team up with a Star City vigilante crew to take down a tech-smuggling ring. Mia is impressed by Joaquin’s resourcefulness with the Falcon’s Cry, while he admires her no-nonsense archery and the way she commands a sonic scream with natural ease—something he misses about his old self.
Trauma Bonding:
Both have experienced significant losses tied to their abilities—Mia nearly losing her parents multiple times as well as being sent to be raised by Nyssa Al Ghul and Joaquin losing his sonic cry. They bond over late-night talks about what it means to redefine yourself after something fundamental is taken away, finding comfort in shared resilience.
Complementary Skills:
In the field, they’re a powerhouse duo. Mia’s grounded combat style (archery and sonic screams) pairs perfectly with Joaquin’s aerial maneuvers and sonic pulses from the Falcon’s Cry. They develop combo moves like Mia amplifying Joaquin’s sonic waves with her own cry for a devastating double-frequency attack.
Playful Banter:
Joaquin teases Mia about her “arrow obsession,” calling her “Robin Hood’s daughter,” while Mia ribs him about his collar, asking if he’s “half-robot now.” Their teasing is lighthearted but builds a foundation of trust and familiarity.
Support System:
Mia helps Joaquin refine the Falcon’s Cry, using her tech-savvy skills she learned from Felicity to tweak its settings for silent pulses or sharper sonic blasts. Joaquin, in turn, teaches Mia aerial combat basics with his wingsuit, giving her a new perspective on fighting from above.
Romantic Moments:
They share quiet moments on rooftops, watching the city lights after missions. Joaquin flies Mia up to high perches she couldn’t reach alone, and she teaches him how to shoot a bow (he’s terrible at it, but she finds it endearing).
Conflict and Growth:
Their biggest fights stem from stubbornness—Mia’s headstrong nature clashes with Joaquin’s cautious, team-oriented approach. A mission where Mia risks herself recklessly forces Joaquin to confront his fear of losing her, leading to a heartfelt reconciliation where they promise to balance their instincts better.
Shared Humor:
They bond over dark humor about their near-death experiences. Mia might quip, “At least when I almost died, I didn’t lose my voice,” and Joaquin fires back, “Yeah, well, I didn’t need a bow to save the day.”
Future Aspirations:
They dream of a quieter life post-heroics, maybe opening a training facility for young vigilantes, blending their skills to teach resilience, teamwork, and tech-enhanced combat. Kids might be on the table, with Mia joking they’d inherit “sonic archery” as a superpower.
Personality Dynamics:
Joaquin’s Warmth vs. Mia’s Edge: Joaquin’s charisma softens Mia’s sharper edges, inherited from Laurel’s intensity and Oliver’s focus. He brings levity to her seriousness, while she grounds his optimism with pragmatism.
Mutual Respect:
Both admire each other’s strength—Joaquin respects Mia’s legacy-driven resolve, and Mia values Joaquin’s ability to reinvent himself after trauma.
Trivia in Their Relationship:
Nicknames: Joaquin calls Mia “Canary Arrow” (a playful mash-up of her parents’ legacies to purposely annoy her by not calling her Black Arrow), and she dubs him “Tech Bird.”
First Date: A sky-diving trip where Joaquin insisted on teaching Mia how to glide with wings, only for her to outmaneuver him with her acrobatic skills. They later danced in Mia's apartment where he'd set up a candle lit dinner
Gifts: Mia crafts Joaquin a custom arrow with a falcon feather fletching; he gets her a necklace with a tiny falcon pendant that doubles as a silent pulse emitter for emergencies.

As I awoke this morning I found myself troubled by a question: what positions would the main characters of the Wheel of Time play if they fielded a baseball team?
After much research and consideration, I believe I have my answer. Put your hands together for the starting lineup of the the Emond's Field Dragons:
Pitcher - Rand al'Thor. He's 6'6", which translates into a whole lot of leverage behind his fastball. Early scouting reports say he needs to work on his control, but once he does he'll be a force of nature.
Catcher - Matrim Cauthon. Catcher is a very demanding position, as they have to call pitches and position the infield. Mat's lifetimes worth of strategic thinking and his childhood friendship with the pitcher will serve him well here. In addition, the graceful movements of spear fighting may be an asset in framing.
First base - Perrin Aybara. This is the easiest defensive position, which means it often goes to the best offensive player. Perrin would have no trouble picking up the fundamentals of defense, but it's clear from the way he swings that hammer that his real strength is as a power hitter.
Second base - Lan Mandragoran. Above all else, a second baseman should be agile and have a precise arm, as they're the crucial hinge on which many a double play turns. That makes it the perfect position for a swordmaster.
Third base - Aviendha. Her training as a spearmaiden gives her the resolve under pressure to field a ball at third and fire it across the diamond to first before the batter can run the 60 feet to the bag.
Shortstop - Moiraine Damodred. Shortstops are sometimes called the "captain of the infield", responsible for tracking short-hit balls and coordinating the movements of their fellow infielders. Moiraine has experience taking charge in battlefield situations, and her warder bond with the second baseman turns the middle infield into a steel trap.
Left field - Elayne Trakand. Outfielders need to be able to cover a wide area quickly, and the left fielder additionally serves as backup for the third baseman. The lessons Elayne received as Daughter-Heir of Andor prepared her to juggle multiple responsibilities.
Center field - Egwene al'Vere. While center fielders may not direct their fellow outfielders to the same degree as shortstops, they are deferred to when deciding who will field a ball in between two outfielders' "territories". Egwene takes naturally to authority and would be comfortable making those decisions in the moment.
Right field - Loial son of Arent son of Halan. Fewer balls are hit to right field than left, so Loial would have plenty of time to smell the proverbial roses out in the literal grass, but when necessary he has the strength needed to get the ball all the way from deep right to home plate.
Designated hitter - Nynaeve al'Meara. Raw power, baby.
And the batting order:
Cauthon
Aviendha
al'Vere
al'Meara
Aybara
Loial
Damodred
Mandragoran
Trakand

Revolutionizing Wire Harness Production with Automated Crimping Technology

The modern manufacturing landscape increasingly hinges on automation to boost both efficiency and accuracy. A standout innovation driving this transformation is the advent of automatic wire cutting and crimping machines. These sophisticated systems offer a host of compelling advantages, fundamentally reshaping the way wire harnesses are produced.
At the core of these machines' appeal is their ability to combine blazing-fast operation with a remarkably streamlined wire changeover process. Unlike older, more labor-intensive methods, these automated solutions harness cutting-edge Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology. This allows for precise, computer-managed adjustments to both the leading and trailing wire ends, eliminating the need for tedious manual tweaks to cutting and stripping lengths. What's more, the integration of electrically controlled blades drastically simplifies the engineering challenges typically associated with adapting to different wire specifications. This built-in flexibility enables swift transitions between various wire types and dimensions, a critical factor in maximizing production agility and minimizing costly downtime.
Precision and Efficiency Through Digital Control
The operational backbone of automatic wire cutting and crimping machines lies in a fully digital and mathematically driven control system. Every crucial parameter—from cutting and stripping lengths to blade values, semi-stripping settings, and terminal crimping specifications—can be precisely configured via an intuitive interface. This comprehensive digital mastery, particularly the electrically adjustable blades, not only supercharges production efficiency but also positions these machines at the forefront of automation compared to other models. For instance, single-head automatic wire crimping machines are adept at handling multiple tasks: wire cutting, single-end stripping, double-end stripping, and single-end crimping, all executed with remarkable speed, stability, and intelligence. Their touchscreen interface further refines the setup experience, making all adjustments fully digitized and straightforward.
Workforce Optimization and Cost Savings
The advanced automation inherent in these machines empowers manufacturers to optimize their workforce deployment. By taking over repetitive and intricate tasks, these systems free up human capital, allowing employees to focus on more strategic, value-added activities. This shift often translates into significant reductions in overall operational costs. Another key benefit is the modular design of these machines. Their reliance on standardized components not only simplifies initial setup but also dramatically cuts down on ongoing maintenance expenses, thanks to readily available and easily replaceable parts. Equipped with cutting-edge electrical controls and proprietary software, these machines boast a highly user-friendly Human-Machine Interface (HMI). This accessibility means that even operators with minimal specialized training can efficiently manage complex wire processing, including wire and terminal changes, effectively "democratizing" the operation of such sophisticated equipment.
Conclusion
In essence, automatic wire cutting and crimping machines represent a monumental leap forward in manufacturing technology. Their synergy of high-speed performance, CNC-driven precision, electrically controlled blades, and intuitive digital interfaces offers compelling advantages over traditional approaches. These machines stand out across various categories of terminal equipment and have secured widespread adoption in today's market, garnering widespread acclaim from users for their innovative design and robust performance.

disclamer: i am not american. this does not affect me, at least for now. this perhaps may decrease my following but my friends are in danger, and im drinking a beer, i dont give a shit at the moment
"Project 2025 is a strategic initiative aimed at transforming the US Army into a more lethal, agile, and adaptable fighting force by the year 2025. This ambitious plan encompasses a wide range of modernization efforts across all aspects of the Army, from its personnel and training to its equipment and technology. A key element of Project 2025 is the development and integration of advanced technology, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and autonomous systems. These technologies are intended to enhance the Army's ability to collect and analyze information, conduct operations in complex environments, and engage adversaries effectively. The project also emphasizes the importance of network modernization and cyber security, recognizing the growing role of cyber warfare and the need for resilient and secure communication systems. In addition to technological advancements, Project 2025 prioritizes the development of human capital by focusing on training, education, and recruitment. The goal is to cultivate a workforce that is skilled, adaptable, and capable of operating effectively in a rapidly changing world. By combining these technological and human elements, Project 2025 aspires to create an Army that is prepared to meet the challenges of future conflicts and maintain its position as the premier military force in the world. " - Unknown name
I am not american. I will not say my views, whether republican, liberal, democrat or whatever views and titles there are
But i will simply say what i have heard and what i have read
Project 2025, a nefarious agenda cloaked in a veil of progress, looms over society, threatening to erode fundamental freedoms and plunge us into a dystopian nightmare. At its core is a sinister plot to restrict access to reproductive healthcare, stripping women of their control over their own bodies. Abortion, a fundamental human right, is deemed a heinous crime, with draconian punishments meted out to those who dare to seek or provide it. I do not doubt they will be going after birth control as well, which is also a human right.
Furthermore, Project 2025 viciously targets the LGBTQ+ community, attempting to erase their very existence. Marriage equality is revoked, and same-sex couples are denied the right to love, raise families, or live their lives openly. Hateful rhetoric spews from the highest offices, fostering an atmosphere of fear and persecution.
Education is also under attack, with curricula twisted to promote a narrow, intolerant worldview. Critical thinking and open discussion are stifled, replaced with indoctrination and propaganda. Young minds are poisoned with messages of hate and exclusion, shaping a generation destined for ignorance and intolerance.
The arts, once a bastion of free expression, are now subject to censorship. Artists who dare to challenge the status quo are silenced, their works banned or destroyed. Culture is homogenized and controlled, leaving no room for diversity or dissent.
Trump's tax cuts, primarily benefiting wealthy individuals and corporations, have been criticized for increasing the national debt and widening income inequality. Trump's administration has rolled back environmental regulations, including those addressing climate change and pollution control, drawing criticism from scientists and environmentalists.
Trump's immigration policies, such as the border wall and family separations, have been condemned as inhumane and ineffective, exacerbating tensions at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Trump's attempts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, were unsuccessful. However, his administration's actions, such as weakening the mandate and Medicaid expansion, have led to concerns about reduced healthcare access.
Trump's rhetoric and policies have been criticized for fueling racial tensions and promoting gender discrimination. The travel ban targeting majority-Muslim countries and the separation of families at the border have drawn accusations of racism and xenophobia.
Trump's presidency and the Republican Party's support of his policies have contributed to deep political polarization in the United States. His divisive rhetoric and inflammatory tweets have exacerbated existing divisions and made it harder to find common ground. Trump's attacks on the media, the judiciary, and law enforcement have raised concerns about the erosion of democratic institutions. His refusal to concede defeat in the 2020 election and his supporters' storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, have further undermined public trust in the electoral process.
This is what i have heard
I have women friends, gay friends, trans friends that live in america
I suggest not voting for trump, but lets be honest, thats been said a dozen timew, doesnt make it any less hwlpful of advice
your all off your heads (or perhaps faces) if ye think project 2025 is good

SKY VROOM-VROOM GO BRR.
Amidst the last few months' craziness, what hasn't failed me or the polycule is our stashing cash aside since after we came back from the Dominican Republic, earlier last year. The end-result is that we're headed to Cuba, now, starting tomorrow.
In case American friends of the blog read this, there's no switch planned in Florida, no stop anywhere on US soil. We're boarding a three-hour flight from Montreal to Cuba and have a week planned in Cayo Coco. Steve and Scrooge can handle things in our absence, and the, for the lack of a better term, gremlings I've been training will probably be more agile than Sarah or myself could ever be with our IT resources, on our own.
Oh, and the Old Place? Officially gone, as per the grapevine. They've been swallowed up in a merger and carried most of my former colleagues over. I retraced those that weren't, asked them if they were on the market for a job, and Walt and I swiped them up.
The Old Place's CEO met with us on Teams, and I've never seen a man look so defeated, before. "I keep telling them there's no future in Sales, not until the Americans return to their senses, and they're not listening. The merger already cost them an arm and a leg, and they're already hemorrhaging cash...
I hummed. "That's a familiar story, somehow..."
Old CEO gave me a look that was too haggard to properly wither - much less to wither me. "The first boss died on a bike trail, the second one threw in the towel and I can't see how I could've done better, Grem!"
Sarah shrugged. "We did tell you to put less weight on the Sales team, the post-COVID market is one of the worst fields ever for someone looking to book car buybacks - and now there's Trump and his tariffs. Until something fundamentally changes, there is no bear market in the automotive sector. None whatsoever."
Walt shrugged. "Besides, you're out of it, now. Wash your hands, proverbially speaking, give yourself a month off, and then pick up a Servicing franchise. You'll live steady."
Old CEO sighed. "That isn't what I wanted..."
Yeah, well... As the physician House once remarked of the great philosopher Jagger, you can't always get what you want...
As we hung up the call, Walt gave us a look. "You ever seen that stunt move in a few movies, where someone dodges an attack or a bullet or something, rolls forward, then pulls themselves back up without missing a beat? I feel like this is us, lately."
I sipped at my coffee. "We could always professionally bite it, some day. We're lucid now, but once we're fattened by our own success, maybe we'll end up like the Old Place's first boss - dead mid-stride."
Walt chuckled. "That's my job, sport! You and Sarah are the agile ones, and I'm the one who gets to spend his twilight years in the fuzziest cocoon of success I've ever made for myself."
Sarah smirked. "Is that a Cuban preview?"
Walt winked at us. "Absolutely, my friends. My idea of vacation is finding a shady spot by a few palm fronds to fall asleep in, and then spending all of next week just following the shade."

EDUCATION : the red room trained natalia to know fundamentals of any topic though she has undergone through an extensive course in international politics, law and economy. technically she hasn't attended college, but results as a college graduate in this field due the red room forging papers for her whenever necessary. HAIR COLOR : auburn, sometimes dyed lighter or darker. tends to dye it blonde whenever on the run. style wise it's usually kept long or shoulder length, throughout the years she's attempted to keep bangs but they never stick too long. EYE COLOR : icy blue, with green streaks. very peculiar in a way that would make her stand out amongst other widows. there's a certain curiousness and sadness in her eyes that gives away the heavy weight on her shulders. STATURE : always taller than most widows from her years in the red room, the use of ballet techniques in the training room has turned natalia into the type of person who's back is super straight, shoulders pushed back, head held high. PHYSIQUE : lean and toned from years of training - she's definitaly smaller in frame than her current teammates but makes up for it in agility.
FAMILY INFORMATION
SIBLING[S] : alexei, younger brother whom she cares dearly for though she finds very little time to spend together. there are other siblings, but she's never met them. yelena is like a sister in the sense that natalia can see her suffering and enduring mirrored in the other woman - it's a complicated relationship, only other people from their same world could understand. PARENT[S] : her mother is unknown, ivan never asked her before taking natalia with him away from the fire. alian romanov is natalia's biological father, though she never really tried to connect with him. in the wake of so many betrayals in the family, natalia considers nick fury like a father figure the most. RELATIVE[S] : nobody to mention in relation to blood. natalia has made a "family" of her own composed of bucky, yelena and clint - they're her inner circle, and everything that matters the most. the avengers and some fellow SHIELD agents come to a close second due to all their shared battles. CHILDREN : rose, born from a love sparked during her first escape from the red room. she was unfortunately stillborn, and now rests in a secret place. stevie was born in a lab, but natalia loves him like she's known him her whole life - she doesn't know where he is currently, but has entrusted bucky with that information. PET[S] : liho, a black cat who loves hanging out at her place but also wants freedom - just like natalia in a way. she's natalia's safeline in times where everything feels too much, they're really good for each other. honorable mention to alpine, who doesn't belong to natalia but also kind of is ... it's complicated.
RELATIONSHIP INFORMATION
SEXUAL ORIENTATION : natalia doesn't label herself as she's still trying to figure herself out on that matter. unless it's strictly mission related, both sexual and romantic orientation need to be born at least from some shared experiences though hence why she would probably fall into the demisexual / demiromantic label. RELATIONSHIP STATUS : extremely complicated. she never shyed away from love despite being taught not to seek it and have it drilled in her head that it doesn't matter - she's a romantic at heart and it always comes out albeit always choosing duty first. natalia is deeply traumatized and does very little to get better beside push through, which is why her relationships never last long and follow a certain pattern in regards of the personality type of her partners. she's trying to do better, get in tune with her old self in new ways, learn from mistakes and open up to others. time will prove if it's worth. SINCE WHEN : since forever, she's been through marriages and funerals ( literal and metaphorical ) but her heart still won't totally give up.

Quecohawk
The quecohawk, an impressive feat of morphomantic engineering, has become the backbone of Hykraelian transportation and warfare. Where horses falter in the red territories of the northern red tribes, these towering avians thrive, standing an imposing six feet at the shoulder. Their presence has fundamentally shaped both military tactics and civilian life across the region.
Despite their seemingly delicate appearance, quecohawks possess remarkable physical capabilities. Their slender legs belie tremendous strength, capable of propelling these creatures through dense woodland at speeds that outpace conventional mounts. The combination of their agility and raw power makes them perfectly adapted to navigating the thick northern forests where horses would struggle to maintain stable footing.
Their most fearsome feature lies in their deadly talons - massive, scythe-like appendages that can tear through steel plate as easily as parchment. In battle, a trained quecohawk becomes a terrifying weapon, capable of eviscerating armored warriors with devastating efficiency. Veterans of Hykraelian conflicts speak in hushed tones of battlefields marked by the distinctive carnage wrought by quecohawk cavalry charges.
The breeding of quecohawks represents one of the more successful applications of morphomantic science. Their flightless nature was deliberately engineered to redirect energy towards ground movement and strength. While they lack the stamina for the longest campaigns that horses might endure, their superior speed and maneuverability in difficult terrain more than compensates for this limitation.
In civilian life, quecohawks serve as invaluable beasts of burden, their height advantage proving particularly useful in harvesting from the tall forest crops unique to Hykraelia. Their keen intelligence and strong bonding instincts make them loyal companions to their handlers, though they remain fierce and untrusting of strangers - a trait that has made them excellent guardians of tribal settlements.
The distinctive cry of the quecohawk - a sound somewhere between a hawk's screech and distant thunder - has become synonymous with red tribes of Hykraelia, echoing through their forests and serving as a warning call that carries for miles through the dense canopy. Their presence has so thoroughly integrated into northern life that many tribal totems now feature the distinctive silhouette of these magnificent creatures.

people are saying that about volo huh? man he’s such an experience bc the fundamental rules of the game (or of singles i should say) are messed up there. there’s a lot that’s different in your favor and a lot that’s different in his. the turns system is unique with the strong and agile style thing making it possible to go multiple times in a row (and to get hit multiple times in a row.) the fact that there are no free switches in between your opponent’s pokémon so you can get punished for ohko’ing somebody by having him send out the perfect counter that immediately goes first. the fact that max revives are very easily attainable in this game. the fact that not only is giratina A Thing, but that when playing for the first time *you don’t know about that.* the only way to be truly prepared for giratina is to stall and take the time to heal your team toward the end of volo’s fight which feels kinda cheap. barring that you either have to be very overpowered or very lucky
i struggled when i first played even when using a ton of items and having brought four legendaries (probably bc i was a noob). but on my next replay when i had more experience and a real team i was still fighting for my life, even with items. but i did a no items volo challenge for my most recent run and it was a fresh nightmare that came down to very good luck on my part for the final shot. all three times i remained strictly on level and honestly isn’t the game way more fun that way? i’m also thinking i should go no items or at least limited items from here on out. and a strict level cap
It's mostly YouTube comment bragging I've seen people say that about volo in, but yeah, it's really silly. Couldn't have said it better myself! The way pla is balanced is honestly so cool, and the dread I felt so many times with battling him and he stacked up enough agile and priority moves to get like three turns in a row was painful 😭 not to mention the obscured status! Hoo boy, that REALLY made giratina a pain.
What I find really funny is I beat volo's regular team first try and even when I was liveblogging I mentioned that I was sad it wasn't harder, even if I only had a couple pokemon still standing.
... Then giratina happened 😂 I lost to his first phase sooooo many times on subsequent attempts after that, think I ended up having to swap out my hisuian lilligant for an alpha sylveon and trained that up from scratch just to have a reliable counter for spiritomb.
Anyway yeah, it's soooooo much more fun to stay on level! If I'd just ran in overlevelled there's no way it'd have stayed in my head for as long as it has, it's probably my favourite pokemon moment of all time as it stands. No items is definitely really fun in Pokémon in general, I love having to think hard about team order, items and status moves to give myself the best shot of staying alive 😭 tempted to also try a level cap when I play violet, bc shiny hunting and BBQ grinding made it way too easy to accidentally overlevel (accidentally got my hydrapple to level 100 half way through the epilogue, woops)
If you have access to emulation btw, I'd highly recommend luminescent platinum! Idk if you've heard of it or not but it's a really cool bdsp mod with a few cool story changes, properly scaled pokemon and a massive overhaul to every battle in the game (as well as expanding the dex by A Lot). All bosses have several rotating sets of teams they'll use at random that are fully competitive and there's an option in-game to set hard level caps that increase as the story goes along, and stop you levelling up at all once you reach them. It's really cool! Think I'm up to victory road in that game, should really get back to it haha
#goldensunset#wondermail#i hope this was compressible fsdgfhfjgjgjgj#i love the volo fight so much. and also just pla in general

Hi there! Would it be alright to ask about what your plans for the bnha magical girl were? No need to answer this if you still plan on going back to it ofc, but its been a few years since it updated and I know you mentioned in the past you had the general gist of it planned out, so I'm curious about where it would've gone from where you left off. Thank you for writing it btw, its still one of my favorite bnha fics to read :D
Mmmmmmmmm yeah at this point I don't think I'm ever going back to it. It's unfortunate, because I had some pretty extensive notes and a whole ~twist~ planned, and I figured my attention would circle back to BNHA someday, but it just never happened! So sure, I can give a loose summary of what I had planned.
I will say before I get into it that, like some other stories I've started in the past, it fell into a trap that I like to call "Canon But A Bit To The Left" which, as the name suggests, is a fanfic that's basically the exact same story as canon just with some superficial details changed. That's a big part of why I lost momentum, once I reached the part of the series that would've just been retelling canon events but with magical girls— I tried to get creative with it, but nothing fundamentally changed, so it wasn't all that much fun. As such, I'll primarily be focusing on what's actually different/The Twist, because that's what's fun to explain.
So! The twist is that Izuku has a quirk. It's the ability to grant Magical Girl Transformation Objects. He does not know he has this quirk, he's doing it completely subconsciously.
His own Transformation Pen manifested out of nowhere when he was like 4 years old, and it sat in a drawer somewhere until he rediscovered it. The general theme of the other people getting their pens is that something they did impressed Izuku somehow, causing him to subconsciously go "yeah this person is worthy of Power"— Uraraka fights a goose, Todoroki catches a mugger with his ice, and other stuff.
According to my notes, the plan was for Iida to get a pen too, during the Stain incident. Iida would refuse to have any part of the whole Magica stuff, though, because that's ILLEGAL. Izuku figures out that it's a quirk sometime before/during the whole training camp thing, and uses it intentionally for the first time as part of a plan to rescue Bakugou— he can sorta sense where his "chosen" are, or at least their pens.
I went back and forth on whether Bakugou has had a pen all along or if Izuku granted him a pen on the spot; I swear I had foreshadowing indicating Bakugou had one all along but I can't remember which fic it'd've been in. There's some parts I'd rewrite to align better with that if I could, but alas that is no longer on the table.
The most recent arc at the time of me writing BNHA Magica was the one introducing Eri, so that also got included in my vague disorganized outline. The FULL extent of my notes there are a quick little description of Izuku granting Eri a pen so that he can track her the same way he tracked Bakugou.
After this, I resolved to, quote, "CATAPULT MYSELF INTO THE ABYSS" and stop following canon. I then did not write down Any specific events beyond the bounds of canon. Good work, Past Me!
Some more disorganized things, uh... The way the Magical Girl Quirk works on Izuku's Chosen (including himself) is it essentially transfers their own quirk into a magic wand, replacing it with a pile of minor passive quirks. Stuff like mild superspeed, strength, agility, a dash of spidey-sense, aaaaaaaaaand fast healing. Or possibly the ability to share damage between everyone involved! I thought it was a very fun creative idea at the time, and it does suit the actual nature of the quirk being them all getting linked to Izuku, but it's also Really involved. My notes on it mostly involve Izuku getting Grievously Wounded during Training Camp but turning out mostly fine, but all his chosen experiencing Very Intense Fatigue as he saps their energy to regrow all the bones in his left arm. IDK if I'd've kept it in the end.
The other big thing in my notes that I'm not as sure about in hindsight is the idea of Izuku getting One For All after all, just, like, Late. It kinda ties in with the healing thing; I had the idea that he kinda reflexively shares the Overwhelming Power across the entirety of his network so that it doesn't make him Explode, but it does possibly result in synchronized Arm-Breaking. But idk about keeping that, I might've just found the image funny enough to write down.
Aaaaaaaand I think that's the extent of what's worth sharing from my written notes. To cap the post off, here's the (very incomplete) concept art! Not everyone represented here was Actually going to get a pen, I just sorta went wild and/or thought it would be funny.
#ask#bnha magica#honestly good to get this off my chest at long last#very fun idea i had here but at this point i am Never gonna actually write it. so might as well just summarize.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated: March 2024
ONE TO WATCH: TIARA JAMES
A few years ago, many were faced with the decision to open or close doors to life goals amid a global health crisis. WWE welcomed live crowds at WrestleMania 37; AEW Rampage premiered on TNT; CM Punk made his return to professional wrestling after seven years. And then there was Tiara James, a wrestler from the Midwest who, in 2021, decided to embark on a professional career while binge-watching Total Divas during a peak year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I had gone through so much during the pandemic,” James tells PWI.”I wanted to try something completely out of my comfort zone that I’d never done before and knew nothing about.”
It took the unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at WWE’s women’s division to motivate James to begin a new chapter of her life. Under the tutelage of OVW-trained Damian Adams, James learned ring fundamentals and other key skills that would help her thrive on the independent circuit and beyond.
“He’s trained so many women who have gone on to WWE, IMPACT, Japan, AEW, etc.,” said James. “He makes it a point to make sure we check off all the boxes that are crucial to going out there and having a good look, reputation, attitude … and, of course, being able to back all that up with good wrestling. Whether it’s three minutes or 30, he makes sure we know how to do it all.”
Since learning the ropes, James wrestled Sonya Deville on Friday Night Smackdown, teamed with Kylie Rae to defeat Cosmic Angels at NJPW, and competed for All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor. Along with the Total Divas reality show, James credits the eponymous WWE division as inspiration.
“I love the Divas Era, and loved the outfits, I feel like everyone had their distinct look” James says. “Anything sexy and badass at the same time is an automatic yes’ from me.”
The rookie James felt an immediate connection with the sport, calling it “the first thing I ever really felt passionate about.” She now enjoys watching a mix of old-school and more contemporary fare, citing the WrestleMania 25 bout between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker (who, she admits, actually frightened her as a child) as her all-time favorite.
Known for her charisma, agility, and counter-wrestling abilities, James finds continual inspiration in her fans. “What motivates me is getting a reaction from the crowd,” she says. “Making sure they’re engaged and entertained because they take the time out of their busy lives to come and watch.”
In summer 2023, James made her MLW debut, putting the promotion’s featherweight division on notice. The “Top Tier” talent desires to eventually sign a major deal with a TV company and wrestle internationally–especially in Japan–throughout 2024.
“I started this off as something I thought I could do as a hobby but quickly realized how much you have to put into it,” she admits. “And as long as I'm putting 110% of myself into this, I don’t plan on settling for anything less than what I want.”
As for James’ wishlist of future opponents: East Coast indie standouts Christina Marie, Ultra Violette, and Megan Bayne are named without hesitation. She’d love to face Stardom’s Mina Shirakawa and Waka Tsukiyama in singles matches, having beaten the former Cosmic Angels in tag competition.
With a growing list of enviable accomplishments, Tiara James aims to keep humble (“the same people you step on to get to the top are gonna be the same asses you have to kiss on the way down”) and is dedicated to seeing her dreams come to life, no matter what.
